Chicago delivered chaos, contact, and composure—sometimes all at once. From the opening corner, survival was half the battle. Jason Landry mastered the mayhem, converting pole into a dominant flag-to-flag victory, leading all 35 laps and setting the race’s fastest time (1:29.049). But behind him, the drama was relentless.

🔥 Opening Lap Mayhem

  • Christopher Smorol clipped David Owens under braking in Turn 1, spinning Owens in front of traffic.
  • David Medina Sr. lost traction exiting Turn 1 and collided with Jared Kelly, resulting in wall contact and damage for both.

⚠️ Mid-Race Trouble

  • Lap 6: Kyle Lynott spun on exit, collecting Neal, Rose, Brenner, Clawson, and Benton—no caution issued.
  • Lap 12: Nick Mills launched all four wheels off the ground after slamming Turn 4 wall. He clipped Brandon Finley rejoining, but Finley recovered to win the AM class.
  • Lap 17: Medina Sr. passed Kelly for P3 in a key turning point. Kelly later retired.
  • Lap 25: Smorol spun in the fountain but recovered and held P3.
  • Lap 28: Gerald Rose locked up the brakes hard causing him to almost rear end the leader Landry. This incident nearly ended the dominant run with 7 laps to go.
  • Lap 33: Kevin Kyle and Todd Dunn made contact. Dunn’s No. 131 retired; Kyle continued without issue.
